1984 Jaguar XJS Coupe 3.6 Litre with 5-Speed Getrag Manual Transmission

This is one of the 24 experimental XJS model that was built by Jaguar and sent to the United States for marketing information. It was brought to Jaguar Cars in New Jersey to determine if Americans would accept the six cylinder AJ6 engine and hardy five-speed Getrag transmission in the XJS.  These cars were given to the Jaguar executives for their use.  They were then stored for years.
